Checklist for page review

When you start working on your pages in preparation for implementing responsive design, you can review the checklist below to get an insight into the scope of the work.

Some of the points involve a more extensive revision of the page content, which can be beneficially and as needed considered in the initial work leading up to the implementation.

Once you have worked on your pages and they are ready for the implementation of responsive design, you can go through the checklist again to ensure that you have addressed and covered the points in the process.

Review of page content

1. Is a general review of content needed?

  • Is the content current for your users?
  • Is there too much content? Too long texts, too much filler, too many decorative images?
  • Is the content sender-oriented rather than receiver-oriented?

2. Revise content to deliver it in less space

Review of images and graphics

1. Check your images in responsive design, if you want them displayed in a specific way.

2. Review the graphics you want presented in a specific way, in responsive design.

  • Find a new solution for graphics that do not suit mobile screen display. For example, rewrite the content as text.
  • Create two version of graphics, where relevant.

Review of tables

Check if your tables have one column or one row defined as the table header, sso they can be adapted for responsive design, or contact typo3@au.dk to add horizontal scroll to your tables.
